The S200 frequency converter incorporates multiple control modes, the selection of which depends on the required speed or torque accuracy. Vector control mode is suitable for scenarios requiring high dynamic response and precise speed control, such as synchronous control in printing machinery, achieving speed accuracy of 0.5% in open loop and 0.01% in closed loop.
V/F control mode is more suitable for applications with lower accuracy requirements, such as multiple motors driving the same load in parallel (e.g., a conveyor belt cluster). In this case, vector control can lead to uneven current distribution due to motor parameter deviations. It is important to note that if the load requires frequent acceleration/deceleration or rapid reversal (e.g., anti-sway control in crane machinery), it is advisable to choose an S200 model with a built-in braking unit or support for external braking resistors; otherwise, regenerative energy may cause motor overvoltage faults.
